This is the place to go! I often stop in for lunch, and they always have great specials and consistently delicious food. Recently, I hosted a party for 80 people and used Cafe Expresso Italia for catering. They absolutely delivered. Communication was excellent, everything was ready on time, and the food was a huge hit with my guests. People couldn’t stop talking about how good everything was. The staff is friendly, the service is reliable, and the food is outstanding. I highly recommend them for both a quick lunch and catering large events.

Caffe Espresso Italia is a true staple in the Ironbound section of Newark and a place I have been visiting for many years. Back in the day the Nona’s ran the counter with the kind of hospitality that made you feel like you were sitting in your own family’s kitchen. Every visit felt personal and comforting. The new owners have carried that same spirit forward and it shows. The recent renovation has given the space a cleaner and refreshed look while preserving everything that made it special. The food remains every bit as appealing as ever and the experience still feels like coming home.

Delicious eggplant parm lunch special and cappuccino. The eggplant was so fresh and homemade. I will be back!!

Ordered a Taylor ham and cheese with no egg. Attached is the result, disgraceful to sell a sandwich like this for 5.50. Better idea woukd be to charge 7 and put some meat on the bread. Place isn't like it was, never again. Terrible, wish the old crew was still here!!!
